The Southeast Asian Pacific Islander Health Education Summit (SEAPI) is a consortium of 12 healthcare organizations, government agencies, and community-based organizations in Washington State, where the Mien International Enrichment Network serves as the fiscal agent, which is committed to reducing and eliminating health disparities in the Southeast Asian Pacific Islander communities. SEAPI works to increase access to health care resources, expand knowledge and understanding of health issues, and ensure medical care is provided in a culturally appropriate context by developing and implementing evidence-based strategies and offering health education programs such as health promotion and cultural competency training, health screenings, and public health campaigns. SEAPI strives to build the capacity to create and sustain health-promoting communities by increasing awareness and access to culturally appropriate health care and resources.
